It’s long overdue, but after more than a year of selling the PIRA film processor we’re now accepting customer reviews!

On the upside, this means that current users have had more time to try out the machine with different films and chemistries, so it should be more helpful to anyone who’s thinking about getting one.

Free film for an honest review!

As anyone with an online shop will know, it’s always difficult to encourage users to write reviews, especially when the product just works and there’s no reason to ask for help or assistance.

For this reason we’re giving away one roll of film to existing customers who write a review for the Darkroom Helper!

We have a wide variety of films to choose from: color negative, black & white, slide, ECN-2 and in 120 size too.
This is left over film purchased during the prototyping and testing phases of the film processor, which explains the different types and sizes available.

Just follow these simple steps to claim yours:
Step 1: Share your experience by writing a short paragraph on the main product page here
Step 2: Head over to the following link to request a film of your choice:

Step 3: Wait to get a shipment confirmation message once your package is on its way.

NOTES:
– This list is updated live with the current stock that we have, so if you find something interesting don’t wait for too long!
– We ask for your original order number just to confirm you’re an actual customer.
– You’ll be given a tracking number once the film is shipped, this might take up to 4 days and it will be delivered via economy (“registered”) mail, so be aware of extended transit times: 3 to 4 weeks or even more in some regions.
– Reviews are subject to approval, but only to remove spam and fake entries.
